Cute!!! I thought your pants had stripes on them, but then I realized it was the light shining through the wooden slats.

Thanks! Actually - those are stripes :) Also, welcome back to SD!

Awww! Love it! Wish i could see a real beach!

This was actually at a friend’s pool - but the beach is nice too :) Sometimes it gets a little too hot (and crowded!) to be at the beach, so private pools are nice. Thanks though, and I am sure you will get to see a real beach soon enough! COME VISIT SOON!

SWEET! you’re going too!? I’ll see ya there… maybe.

Whad up my Scotsman?! LOL yeah I’m going! You know we’re going to have to take massive photos right? Hahaha

TOPD replied to your photo: Spot the well from The Ring! One of the spots my…

CSUCI is in Camarillo! My friend is from there. I guess the University used to be a Mental Hospital. Some parts are said to be “haunted.”

I went past the mental hospital and children’s ward areas - definitely has a creepy vibe to it! I wish I had time to actually go through it, the children’s yard is still up and looks like something out of “Are You Afraid of the Dark” or scarier hahaha. My brother and his roommates went through it, and he said he swore he heard noises - especially in the children’s ward. I might go back later this month to check it out - need to before they tear it all down!

Maybe I'm late on this, but I just happened upon your post describing yourself as a "Manic Pixie Dream Girl." And honestly, I think you're kind of full of shit. People like you, who label yourselves and then get angry that you are labeled as such, have such a narrow, shallow perspective of yourselves and the people around you.

@Anonymous

For some reason I just came across this post right now. I have no idea how long ago this message was sent… so if you’re late, I’m late too. I think you missed the point of my post entirely, and I feel that perhaps you even misread the post. Try reading it again, and maybe you will see that I am “labeling” myself as such because of what others have labeled me as. What I am angry at is that the stock character exists in films and literature, and that there are some people in the real world (yes they exist in real life) that expect the characteristics of these MPDGs to translate into real life. The point is that, yes there are shallow perspectives, but you are supposed to look past that.

I’m labeled as many things, and for the most part I don’t give a shit really unless it interferes w/family or career (or enhances it… it goes both ways). It’s the MPDG thing that is more recent, so I’m going to talk about it. You don’t know me, so if you think I am shallow because other people call me MPDG and I’m noticing it, well then I don’t know what to tell you other than you’re paying far too much attention to someone you don’t know. Even if I do know you in person, you probably have some superficial “friendship” w/me anyway.

Where’d you find a sitcom dad from the 70s?

HAHAHA eh we found him somewhere near Silverlake. He was lost.

OMGah, how much is that? Been looking for something like that, but all of the ones I’ve seen cost nearly a grip.

Girl - RIGHT?! The ones I’ve been seeing were all in the triple digits. The one I wanted was $275! I saw one that looked HELLA cheap (and you know I mean it cause I said hella) for $175! I can’t even… how are you gonna..??? This one? $50! GIRL! $50!!! It’s not on their site yet, but hopefully it will be. I’m going to do a full post too, the girls of Lareese Marie are super nice!

I noticed that CD first in your post. Their show was dabomb.com. And one of my guy friends luuurved Rachel. Haha!

LOL Rachel was the hottest! She still is hot! I really loved her second solo album, “Come and Get It.” It was a fantastic pop album - different from all the other pop albums out at that time (2004/05). You could easily pair her w/Little Boots or La Roux w/a dash of Kylie Minogue (she worked w/some of Kylie’s people). I was sad that she took a music break after that… but I just did a search on her again and she released “Nothing in Common” last year - it was supposed to be part of “Come and Get It.” She also has some demo out for some song that came out earlier this year, but I am not going to bother posting it. It sounds trashy to me so far. We’ll see if something comes out in better taste. Anyway, here’s “Nothing in Common.”

I love S CLUB 7

I do too! Guilty (obviously, I owned the CD haha)! But these jewel cases are taking up way too much space in my room - and I need money! I figure I can listen to S Club on Spotify if I really want to hahaha. I used to really love their show.

This is awesome *0*

Girl, it’s literally down the street! The corner of Division and Dillard!

izanaki reblogged this from you and added:

Who else went up other than you and Vince?

Richie also came along w/us and we picked up the other Eileen from her work. We met up w/a lot of our other friends who traveled up to LA as well. Good times - and most of us JUST got back now haha. Anyway, it was well worth the trip to see our friends present the movie they worked so hard on. Uploaded: The Asian American Movement is definitely worth watching for anyone involved w/marketing, social media, sociology, Asian American studies, pop culture, and trends. But I suppose I will do more of an in depth review later.

so you remember kara’s flowers, ey? ha. btw. that IS a cute outfit. but i’m sure you already know that.

LOL yes I do remember Kara’s Flowers! I’m surprised that you do? Then again you thought all I listened to was house music! Hahaha But they’re better off as Maroon 5 now. They wouldn’t be where they are now if they hadn’t… hmm switched directions.
