If there is something I really like about my family is that they don’t discriminate. My mom’s always been fond of my gay friends… she’s also very fond of animals so she thinks this magnet is cute. I do too. Who doesn’t love a pug in support of LGBT rights?

I used to be so embarrassed about my birthmark. As a child, everyone would ask me what was this mark on my face. I never knew how to explain it. My parents knew how much it bothered me, and assured me that once I was older, I would be allowed to get rid of the mark cosmetically. Now that I am older, I don’t want to get rid of it. This birthmark is a part of me, I’d miss it too much if it were to go. I think my parents are happy with my decision to keep my birthmark as well, all they’ve ever really wanted me to be was happy.
